About the role
The Virtual Assistant Agency Intern will support the agency team with day-to-day administrative tasks, internal organization, client support projects, marketing assistance, recruiting support, and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in learning about virtual assistance, business operations, entrepreneurship, client service, and remote work.
The intern will gain real-world experience working in a professional virtual environment while learning how to manage tasks, communicate with clients, support projects, and contribute to agency growth.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Assist with organizing documents, files, spreadsheets, and internal resources.
- Support email organization, calendar coordination, and task tracking.
- Help update client notes, project trackers, and internal systems.
- Prepare simple reports, summaries, and follow-up documents.
Client Support Assistance
- Help organize client tasks and project updates.
- Assist with preparing meeting notes, action items, and task lists.
- Support follow-up on assigned tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling client-related information.
Marketing & Content Support
- Assist with drafting social media captions, newsletters, blog outlines, and email content.
- Help organize marketing materials, testimonials, and content calendars.
- Support research for industry-specific content and lead generation campaigns.
- Assist with updating website copy, service descriptions, or promotional materials as needed.
Recruiting & Team Support
- Help organize applicant information and candidate tracking documents.
- Assist with screening forms, interview scheduling, and onboarding checklists.
- Support internal training materials, team resources, and process documentation.
- Help maintain organized records for applicants, contractors, and team members.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Assist with creating and updating standard operating procedures.
- Help identify ways to improve organization, efficiency, and communication.
- Support internal dashboards, spreadsheets, and project management boards.
- Assist with documenting repeatable workflows for client service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating online.
- Basic knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to learn tools such as Monday.com, Canva, Go High Level, Slack, Teams, or other business platforms.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks by deadline.
- Professional attitude and respect for confidentiality.
- Interest in business operations, virtual assistance, marketing, recruiting, or entrepreneurship.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Canva, Excel, Google Sheets, or social media platforms.
- Basic writing, editing, or research skills.
- Customer service or administrative experience.
- Interest in supporting small businesses, contractors, or professional service companies.
- Ability to manage multiple small tasks at once.
